Casa Auratus is situated on the edge of the jungle in the Gandoca-Manzanillo wildlife refuge.
The house is conveniently located about 800 meters north of the village of Manzanillo, the southernmost settlement along the coast road on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. The beautiful beaches of Manzanillo and Punta Uva are nearby.
Casa Auratus has two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The upper loft bedroom has its own bathroom and a terrace with an outside shower. From the upstairs bedroom the adjacent jungle appears as a wall of green that is transformed into a beautiful firefly show after dark.
The bathroom downstairs has its own shower. A fully equipped kitchen lies within the main room on the lower level. For your convenience laundry service is available. At Casa Auratus you can "let the jungle come to you". While you have your coffee on the deck you will frequently hear and see troops of howler monkeys. Exotic birds, such as toucans, are frequent visitors, and don't be surprised if the brightly colored frog, Dendrobates auratus, comes hopping by in the morning. You may even take a short walk on your own private jungle trail adjacent to the house.
Casa Auratus is perfect for that romantic getaway, secluded on the edge of the jungle, yet close to beautiful beaches where you will find excellent swimming, snorkeling, and fishing.
Long walks on nearly deserted beaches are just minutes from the house. For an extra treat you may hire a local guide to take you on a walk in the jungle. |

Cancellation
Policy |
If you find it necessary to
cancel your reservation, we charge a $50 cancellation fee. We
will refund the balance of your deposit, less any banking fees,
within 2 weeks of your request. If you cancel within 30 days
of your reservation date or no-show, no refund is available.
Should you arrive and not stay the length of your reservation,
no refund is available. |
